Staff and management training
The research is unequivocal; the principles of space design and management have been reinventing themselves for over a century. Worse, evidence overwhelmingly suggests that these principles are damaging to business. Worst of all these principles are deeply ingrained into the business psyche and harder to remove than beetroot stains.
Fortunately, IDR’s own consultancy and research coupled with the company’s foundations in the university network leaves it well placed to inculcate the science of psychological management. New management that allows employees to realize their own identity in their workplace in conjunction with that of the business allows the strengthening of bonds between employees and with the business that employs them. The result is a happier and more productive company.
New methods necessitate practise and training can involve stand-alone modules or ongoing assessment.
Staff too have become accustomed to standard management practices and may need help in adjusting to a new regime. Training with staff alongside managers or with their peers be arranged. Where appropriate the involvement of Trades union benefits training.
